Wehhh~ why some people just so so so pretty :'( I am openly super jelly. And somebody on youtubeland should do a Park Sora inspired makeup tutorial! >.< Pretty right~~~

Foodie foodie food food food

This weekend was spent over at le boyfr's. He came over to my place on Saturday afternoon to film "Boyfr does my makeup" and then we're off to his place :D Plan was to meet his friends for dinner at Strictly Pancakes (SP) :D:D:D (psst, I know I have tons of videos on queue to upload but editing is a bitch and I am a big time procrastinator :()

The assortment of pancakes combination we ordered, of which I shalt not comment on the taste because I didn't really share with them. 

And this is mine! :D I "made my own" pancakes :D As in, I selected what sides to go with the pancakes as opposed to B's and his friend's whereby they just picked from the menu. Mine looking a lot like an American breakfast :P Whats not to love about American breakfast!? Bacon, sautéed mushrooms, scrambled eggs complementing the main star; soft fluffy buttery pancakes. ^^

The interesting thing about SP, is there's even a selection of Butter to choose to go with your pancakes. I am not too adventurous, so I just chose Salted Butter. Boyfr took Garlic&Herb. Which actually turned out to be surprisingly delicious! :D So thats something to note if you're going to head down to SP :D

I LOVE American Breakfast, so I would say that SP does a not too bad job with it :D I would definitely head back to SP to try the more unique combinations like Garlic Prawns with Pancakes (like how weird is that, Prawns with pancakes O.O) and maybe some dessert pancakes :D

You may wish to note that I went down on a Saturday night and I had to wait for approximately half an hour without reservations, so if you're going down, maybe you'd wanna call them first :D

Lunch the next day with le boyfr at Next Door Deli (NDD) :D

So NDD is a quaint little cafe located in Ang Mo Kio estate, really small shop with limited seating serving mostly their versions of Western Cuisines such as Chicken chops, Burgers and Fish & Chips. It has both air conditioned seating and outdoor seatings. :) Very comfortable ambience!

This is what I ordered :) Meatball pasta! :D And this meatball is not like your other meatballs. Its made solely out of Pork. No beef! /playsSteveAokimix HAHAHA. Very tender, succulent pork with a little bit of water chestnut bits and spring onion; very yums, very noms. HAHHAHA running out of synonyms for delicious! 

Usually I'll eat my pasta Aglio style if I had the choice because firstly, I love spicy food and Aglio is ALWAYS (I MEAN IT HAS TO BE) spicy and secondly, I am not a big fan of tomato based food. So the sauce for this pasta is a pleasant surprise! Its not overly sour, has a hint of sweet, tarty tomato-y taste, which works really well with the meatballs and the pasta :D

Boyfr's Wok Fried Mee Siam. Very interesting twist to our familiar local food the humble Mee Siam. So what you get is beehoon lightly tossed with Mee Siam flavor and on the sides, we have some prawns, a whole fishcake and NDD's signature Chicken wing.

I tried a little of the Mee Siam, it was pretty good but I am not gonna comment further because I kinda forgot how it really tastes like :X Which also means the taste of this dish is just alright, since it didn't leave much of an impression on me. BUT THE CHICKEN WING. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. Better than Ikeas. So if you're a fan of Ikea's Chicken Wings? Try this!

Obviously it goes without saying that I am definitely going back to try the rest of their menu! :D (Doesn't hurt that boyfr's place is just opposite hohoho) :D

But sweet sweet love, is the person you think of in everything you encounter everyday. I know I have posted this song before but no words, can describe how much I love this song, and how I see J everytime this song plays.

Well I would have known, what I've been living for, all along..

Its hard to see whats the future like. Or rather, I have learnt not to see too much or rather too far into the future. So what, if two people have been together for the longest time? It doesn't matter. It doesn't guarantee anything at all. 

But as much as I try not to see, every time I think of J, I see what I want in my future. I don't know about him, but I really do. Does anybody else get that feeling? When you think of that one person you love? And you feel like there's this huge mass of love in your chest, just waiting to explode out? And you wanna express it out but you can't find the right way to express it and you just feel like crying? Because all I feel is this big big love; that I love him so much.

Every time he smiles, I'd do anything to see him smile like that everyday, every moment. That twinkly eyes..

When he sleeps, and he makes those unique noises (some of you call that snoring but I find it therapeutic :P) and his sleepy voice, I'd do anything to hear that every morning when I wake up.

When we're out and about, and he suddenly kisses my cheek or my forehead, or suddenly hug me from behind or just grab me around my waist.. seriously who taught this boy all the tricks?

When he whispers "I love you baby"..

Nobody is perfect; sometimes (those rare times) I do get the feeling like, "maybe I am better off being single. I don't need to be accountable to anybody, I can do as I please," because we drive each other mad sometimes. 

But that's what Love does, doesn't it? Love makes people mad. Love makes us experience both ends of the emotion spectrum. But Love is feeling all these different emotions and still wanna be with the same person throughout it all.

"Love isn't just finding someone you have chemistry with, but meeting someone who loves you enough to always keep on trying, no matter how tiring it is."

That's what listening to this song, makes me feel.

The best things in life are free

Somethings in life, are irreplaceable. Thinking back on all we shared, I don't even know where we began? How did we suddenly, amongst so many people in our school, came together and be best friends? Baffles me but does it matter? When every single fucking thing was going down and there was no end to that roller coaster ride, she was the one who knocked down anybody in my way to wipe away my tears. When things didn't go the way it should go for me; when people treat me any less than she felt I deserved, she took it upon herself to give those people a piece of her mind. What did I do to deserve her? I don't know. But I am ever so thankful for you, Shu. <3 Really. The times we cried together in Zouk. It was those times, when I needed someone the most, that there was somebody there for me. <3<3<3 

Sundays

Met le favorite air stewardess for late lunch at Bedok Point :D Manhattan for lunch and we couldn't stop commenting about how we could have it at half priced if we were dining at JB instead. :X HAISH!

CAN YOU IMAGINE? I FELT LIKE I PILED ON ALOT OF MAKE UP ALREADY BUT THE WOMAN DURING THE PHOTOSHOOT SAY "NOT ENOUGH" O.O HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH. O.O

I only bought le fruit salad because the picture on the menu distinctly showed loads of nata de coco :P

PRETTY SENSIBLE HIGHFLYER LOOKING FOR RESPONSIBLE AND CARING AND FAITHFUL PARTNER, any takers? :P JK. I swear if her next boyfr were to treat her any less than a princess I am gonna aladeen muthafuckas him. No joke. 

After which I went to Essensuals Bugis for my hair treatment and then to Somerset to meet le Queks.

Subsequently another shameless photo spam of yours truly because I just did hair treatment and I reckon I should take pictures of my hair in its glorious state.
