I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE SWEETEST KILL;

did we even know?
All the time, we get by,
trying to figure out our lives like a fade-out.

........

Because I'm a ball of ironies and indecisions, here I am again. Picking up from where I left off.. somewhere. Let's start with the whole Easter weekend.

Make up for Friday; meeting K for brunch at Assembly. It was pouring by the time we both reached the cafe, and with it being such a small cafe, it was pretty tough getting a seat.

I absolutely love it when cafes keep their decor to the minimum. Simplicity at its best.

We both had the Flat White, which was delightful. I got the Mint Tea whilst waiting for her, and it was a total miss for me. For a pot of Organic Mint Tea that costs S$7.50, I clearly expected something strong but I think my pack of Next Chill packed a mintier punch as compared to their tea.

On the other hand, the food served were fantastic! At least for my Pulled Pork Burger, I enjoyed every morsel of it. The sesame seed bun was fluffy on the inside, perfectly toasted on the outside. Every fibre of pork was thickly coated with a tangy BBQ sauce; not to mention the interesting introduction of thinly sliced Granny Smith apples.. every bite was a party in my mouth.

Their Salted Caramel Waffles was one of the best I've tasted! It comes with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, it was alright. But them waffles.. you must try it when you're here!

Went for some major retail therapy after, and ended up at Tanuki Raw for dinner. I wasn't exactly hungry after our brunch session but I am so glad I gave Tanuki Raw a try! They serve really yummy Japanese fusion cuisines and the lovely dining environment certainly sealed the deal for me. You will definitely see me there more often! Psst, they have Happy Hour S$5 sashimi and S$2 oysters!

SATURDAY - saw me lazing the entire afternoon away. Got off my lazy ass in the late afternoon and decided to steam my entire wardrobe of clothes. Woes of having too many clothes; there isn't enough storage space for all my clothes!!

Changed, did a light sweep of concealor, blush and eyeliner before heading out to meet A and K for the Wax On Wax Off Record Party at Loof.

I wasn't really in the mood for drinks (then again, I hardly ever am), but ultimately caved in to some Strawberry Lime cider and Moscato. Never a dull time when I'm with the two of them, had a great laugh about our respective pasts, and everything else in our lives now. Music was so good too; the DJs were spinning tunes straight from vinyls and only vinyls! Definitely what I would classify as a perf chill-out night with good company.

SUNDAY - even more minimal make up look to run some errands in town.

MONDAY - visited Sham after work for some hair therapy. Best hairstylist ever okay?! He OT-ed for me, even bought dinner/supper for me! :D

&thanks to him, I can have mermaid hair :3

Would love to say that this is inspired by Blue is the warmest colour, but it isn't.

TUESDAY (TODAY) - feeling lethargic from work, so I decided to head to town to shop alone.

Can I just tell you how much I love Menya Musashi's Black Ramen??? & it must be from the ION Orchard outlet. Apparently different Menya outlets have different specialties; and ION Orchard's specialty is they use H-shaped noodles! They are incredibly springy and just so damn yummy!!

Shopping is so very therapeutic to me.

My accessories stash;

Some people might think I'm a brand-whore but I beg to differ once again. Unlike others, I like classic items. I may splurge on some accessories but I wear them on a nearly everyday basis. Paying a little more for quality such as leather or silver or something as intangible as the concept of a classic design; why not?

from left to right, top to bottom:
Chanel earrings, Bimba&Lola ring, Pandora ring, Swarovski x Hello Kitty necklace, Chanel classic necklace, Chanel long necklace, Solvi et Titus watch, Balenciaga Arena classic bracelet in Nero, Balenciaga Giant Arena bracelet in Nero, Bottega Veneta double woven bracelet in Black, Bimba&Lola chain bracelet, Pandora bracelet.

I like to invest in classic items as shown above, in black/silver/gold/brown as they are easy to match around with.

One more photo of my beautifully accented hair just because..

........

I wish I could tell you what is going on in my head, but even I don't know what's going on. I feel -. A dash. I am shouting into the void, &nothing is coming back. No echoes, nothing. I need to feel alive

I thought I had it all figured out, but don't we always think so? Only to find out how far away we really are from that goal, and then we're all messed up again.

Slow dancing to my favourite song with nicotine-filled lungs, eyes closed in the dark.

Something as simple as that; that's all I wanna do now.
