Love rut

"If you feel discouraged when there's a lack of colour here.
Please don't worry lover, its really bursting at the seams from absorbing everything the spectrum's A to Z."

"It stung like a violent wind, that our memories depend on a  faulty camera in our mind. But I knew that you were a truth I would rather lose, than to have never lain beside at all."

"Love is watching someone die.

So who's gonna watch you die?"

One day before Christmas eve, love my makeup so much that day but I ended up staying at home all the way till dinner time. So lame!!

Christmas2012 with le boyfr and his friends as per the tradition; but this year everyone seemed so tired, including me! I was napping like a boss shortly after the clock struck 12~

photo credit to @iamjy_ & grabbed from le boyfr's FB;

Mooja Mookata with le boyfr on a random Wednesday night for dinner thanks to Francesca's blog giveaway :D And I am how lucky please! The food was fab!!

Unlike the other Mookata outlets, Moojaa focuses on providing quality ingredients so Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork is no surprise on the menu!

Looks can be deceiving because this chilli can fight with the other mookata outlet chilli! Its like super duper spicy so chilli lovers! You are safe to patronise this outlet! Their chilli won't let you down!! :D

My absolute favourite! Cheese meatballs :D The cheese inside is like the cheese they use in Nachos, sooooo good!!!!!!!

My new nails which I did at Love & Pamper Nails. Mad love them and imagine this set (Classic Gelish Manicure) only costs $55! Damn worth it! Go visit them okay because they are located at a very secluded part of Bugis Village so they might have to relocate to a home salon as they are not getting enough business to sustain! Damn sad because its quite hard to find a good and reliable yet cheap nail salon!! :(

Love & Pamper Nails

Found this awesome Mexican restaurant at Holland Village with BFF, Magnebro and CEO bro! It was so good I had to bring le boyfr there the next day!!

Complimentary basket of corn chips with homemade salsa whenever you dine there :P

PRAWN BURRITO!!!!!! If you love spicy food, this is the bomb! For $18 you get so much diced prawns inside it, soooo good!!!

2012, death &the new year;

Hello, how has 2012 been treating you so far. Mine's been pretty alright. Could definitely do better, but I am thankful.

So as mentioned in my previous post, end December 2012 was shit for me. Family issues prior to Christmas 2012 that I lost whatever anticipation I had for Christmas. Christmas has always been super special to me and I always thought NOTHING could ever make me feel less during Christmas but I guess there's a first to everything.

And as if whatever happened during Christmas wasn't enough to dampen my mood for the NY, my uncle passed away on 30 December 2012. A wee few hours to NY eve. I wasn't exactly best buds with my uncle, we weren't even close; but the thought of death occurring so damn close scares me. It still does. When I close my eyes, I picture my uncle on his deathbed. It still bothers me. Did we do enough? My uncle was a bachelor, so we were his closest, his only. And when he was still around, he'd always ask my brother was I working and when I'd go to visit him. I always reschedule because I never knew what to talk to him about. He was born in 1940, China, speaks only Teochew and Mandarin and I am an awkward Mandarin speaker. But I am sort of relieved that I did visit him one day before his passing at the hospital. And he asked me if I was happy at work. Maaaan, I feel like crying again.

My uncle is perhaps the strongest person I've ever known. He was 11 when he got into some kinda accident. Since then, he couldn't walk anymore and he uses his crutches to move around. He stayed with my grandmother till she passed in 2004. After that, he shifted from Bugis to Bukit Batok just to be closer to my family. Then at age 64, he insisted that he'd rather live alone than to stay in a nursing home. His love for photography triumph his physical limitations because you'd never see him let his handicap get in the way of him pursuing his interests.

Living alone with only the occasional visits from my brother and my father, he must have been so lonely. Lonely, old and handicapped. Yet he didn't stop fighting. In a way I am glad that he has passed because it seems to me that he lived a difficult life. He truly deserves a rest now and I really hope that he is happier now, wherever he is.

Going through all these emotions lately, got me so frightened whenever I picture my parents in that exact state. I can't even..

So I am not hoping much in the new year.

2013; all I am asking is for the people I love to be happy and healthy.

Let everyone I love tide through 2013 with happiness. Nobody leaves.

X.

Zoukout 2012

I know I know, so disgustingly late, this post is. I apologize. December 2012 was a crazy whirl, especially so towards the end.

So this year's Zoukout was split into 2 days, and I only went for Day 2. Main highlight to me for Day 2 was hands down Knife Party. It was AMAZEBALLS, we were like SO EFFING CLOSE to them Knife Party I was so stoked!!!

Their entire set was absofuckinglutely terrific, they played Greyhound, Centipede on top of the other tracks I featured in the above video. Thats what I love most with attending music festivals like Zoukout; getting just completely lost in the music you love~ It was a true pity I could only confirm my attendance to Zoukout 2012 a mere 2 days before the event itself so none of my usual party crew could attend :( 2013, LEZGO ALRIGHTY MATES?

Anyways, I looked through my camera photos and videos of that day and guess what, no pictures of ME AT ALL O.O WHAT THE HELL RIGHT. So I conclude that there are basically 3 types of people who attend Zoukout/music festivals:

  1. People who genuinely go for the music and only the music/experience; yknow, just there to immerse and soak everything up and have a good time.
  2. People who attend for the sake of attending; they usually don't know shit about the music and just go because "yeah we party cause we cool like that and whooooaaa good song, who plays it?" and cite "David Guetta" as the world's best DJ (pfftt)
  3. People who are half (1) & (2).

So usually I am number (3) but I guess this year I went number (1).

I am quite bummed though, Porter Robinson & Calvin Harris both played Madeon's Icarus but I wasn't part of the crowd when they did. I was either loitering somewhere near the bars or waiting at the toilets. So so so bummed. :( HAISH.

All in all, Zoukout 2012 was awesome for Knife Party and Knife Party only. Wish my usual party crew went along cause it would have been so rad! :(

Homewrecker; (ii)

In addition to what has been going on, one thing I don't condone is losing objective and letting your emotions get the better of you.

Take the current Z, A & Y's saga. Hoards of strangers spamming Z's FB page with expletives and opinions on her privates and labels that could be true but uncalled for.

If you are so unhappy with whats going on, how does calling people names help? Seriously. Make her feel bad? Make her feel like shit? How different are we as compared to her then? Her lack of judgment and her actions caused immense grief to someone. Should we not be the better person to not do the same?

We feel unjust for Y, yes. But like what I said, the only true way to be able to get the ball rolling is not to heap vulgarities and being totally uncouth.

Z is choosing to be silent, so that all these will soon blow over. After it has somewhat subside, she will then make her move (though I don't know what). The only way for this to have any movement at all now is to "boycott" everything she represents. To show that you do not condone such acts too. That companies choosing to still endorse her, would then mean that they too are acceptable of such behaviours. And hence if so, we do not patronise them too. Simple as that. Why would any companies want to suffer loses or engage the services of someone who is then unable to assist them in profit making?

Its her life, yes. Her friends can say that she is not accountable to us in any way. But in the same manner we are upset when we witness Alex Ong pushing the old woman off the bus, its the exact same reason why we are pissed with what is going on with Z and her manner of handling the situation now.

Maybe the old woman aggravated him, but we know that no matter what it is still wrong for him to push the old woman down. Wrong means wrong. You don't have to make excuses for why you did it. But when you are wrong, and all you can do is a feeble attempt of "Hi All, there r untrue things bein said abt me. I leave it to ur good senses to choose what to believe. Thks to those who keep faith in me."

Like I mentioned before, its her choice if she still feels that she does not need to answer to anybody about her actions, whatever it is. But she cannot expect people to just take her above tweet and stop talking about her. If she doesn't wanna do any explanation, she can't blame the public for taking whats already out there and make a stand to "boycott" her.

Peace out.

Homewrecker

I said I wouldn't cash in on whats happening now, and I am going to try and stay true with it. But I just can't help writing about it. But I won't mention names and all. Just my 2 cents.

After everything that has transpired, I don't think Z has anything to say because there is none. The whole fucking bowl of water is black with ink, how do you suppose she get the ink out? There is no way.

It may be her life, but she chose to publicise it. She chose to have a side career as a blogger which is obviously, not private. If you want to share your life, then chances are people are going to be curious about every damn aspect. When something like this happens, you don't just avoid the whole damn thing like "whoa this is my personal life, I don't need to answer to whoever."

But if she wants to, she can. But why should people who read her blog, the people who are the cause of her side income, continue giving her support? She is a damn blogger for God's sake! She needs your hits (nobody gives a rat's ass how these hits came from) to earn, to get sponsors, etc! So by pasting her blog, her FB page, her twitter, you are just helping her get more hits.

If you are really keen to know, google is your best friend. I have to admit, as humans , we are just naturally curious to know the unknown. And I am pretty sure with me writing this is all the more tempting to know whats going on, that has thrown the online world into a angry hot mess since last night.Google. Or just search "Alvin & Yuki" on FB and you got your thing. But just don't, patronise any of her blog, Instagram or Twitter.

Why? Why am I so adamant on this?

I believe what she did is just so wrong in so many ways. And this is not the first time she did it. She did it at least one other time other than this time. So it goes to show that she thinks its perfectly alright for her to fight for what she wants! Its only alright to fight for what you want if no one gets hurt. But obviously nothing else matters to her but herself.

The first time it happened, XX may not have blown it up because she only knew of what happened to her friend years later. It seemed redundant and uncalled for, for her to just splash it over the internet for no rhyme or reason. But now it has happened again, so we need to take a stand, that this is wrong, and she should not be supported for this.

See. I am not going to take advantage of the situation and cash in and get hits too. I don't need it.

/edit.
Slight disclaimer: By cashing in, means publishing her name and all the relevant links so that when people google, my entry and my blog will come up in their search and when they click, I get to earn from that. Nope. Sharing on my FB like all my other entries. And my FB is locked, meaning only friends see my posts. And even if this FB post is public, come on, who am I tryna kid, I am not that pops, what are the chances strangers are gonna click on my profile and link here? So yeps.
