July 2013; iPhone updates

I guess this is kind of a routine thing for me already, updating an iPhone pictorial on the start of every week on what went down on the previous week (: Its good right, sort of, to have some form of consistency. Not sure exactly who is reading this site and if they are even interested in whats going on in my life, but anyhoo~

I started off last week on a bad note; really felt like shit, probably 50:50 on PMS and just being the fucking emotional tsunami that I am. Bipolar pfft.

Monday was boring, it was just work and then tuition at night. PSLE coming, I'm 23 years old this year and running scared :/

BTW I finally caught Eat Pray Love and goodness me I can't believe I only watched it now; it was so so so good! So inspirational it really did help me restore some form of hope and faith (: Catch it if you haven't okay? :D

Thats @chubsball being irritating and telling me to keep myself entertained whilst waiting for them to end work by taking selfies and then went on to sending us an example on our whatsapp chat how to take selfies! LOL. If you're following me on IG (@jolenequek_), you would have seen her Selfies 101 instavideo WHICH IS SO FUNNY OMG.

Told her I wanted to take #OOTD later that day and she told me to take like that. -.- HELLO BELLE YOU HIAO AH.

On the topic of selfies, my dear BFF so cute, she always claims that she don't know how to take selfies and then sent us this HAHAHAHAHYHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA SO CUTE?! 

Since it was my BFF's first week at work and she was feeling understandably down due to it (and also cause I haven't seen belle in like A THOUSAND YEARS) I bought them some molten cake! SUPER GOOD OMG! And not to mention super fattening :/ Flavours bought were Hazelnut Chocolate, Pistachio White Chocolate and the classic Dark Chocolate. I especially loved the Pistachio WC. So focking good please go try!

So back to our dinner, we ordered this OMG so good. Close friends of mine would already know what a hugeeee fan of Ichiban BOSHI I am! I always dine there because they have a loyalty programme that awards you a stamp for every $20 spent; after which you can get free items from the menu and most importantly THE FOOD IS OF GOOD QUALITY AND ITS MORE AFFORDABLE COMPARED TO ITACHO AND SUSHI TEI. 

Look at that awesome Sake Salad above. $9.90; crazy huge slabs of salmon sashimi and it comes with some garlicky wafu dressing. WTF SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE JUST HOW AWESOME IT IS. JUST WRITING ABOUT IT NOW I AM ALREADY SALIVATING AND MENTALLY THINKING WHERE THE NEAREST OUTLET IS AND HOW I AM GONNA GO THERE LATER FOR DINNER ALONE. LOL no seriously I'm really thinking of that because I damn lazy to meet anyone today but that salad. Damn son. But I must give credit to my dear CEO bro for introducing Ichiban Boshi to me :) Maybe one day I shall bring my G12 and properly introduce y'all to my favourite dishes in Boshi. ;) No promises though HAHAHAHA.

And after dinner we went all around Vivo trying to take a nice OOTD for me LOL. But damn fail cause I'm awkward like that. Like what do you do with your limbs when you're taking a outfit shot! Where does your bag go and not look like an awkward duck? Where do I look? How do I smile or what? HAHAHAHA. Damn fail.

Then Ballz tried taking those candid shots of me and yeah wow. /claps wonderful HAHAHAHAHAHAHA JK BELLE THANKSSSSSSSS~

And so this is the final shot. Leg still looking a little awkward but not too shabby la hor. Kids, don't smoke. I can, you cannot, okthanksbye.

Woke up on Wednesday morning to THIS TWEET from someone I was following; HOLY SHIT STEREOSONIC 2013 LINE UP IS INSANE!!! I want I want GIMME GIMME! Was telling BFF we should totally save up and head to Aussie at the end of the year for this T.T 

Wednesday was uneventful because it was tuition day again so on to Thursday! Thursday's awesome lunch at The Green Bar! Usually I'd have the Smoked Duck Salad with yoghurt honey dressing but I was feeling more of the Smoked Salmon Panini and BOY IT WAS GOOOOOOOD. The ciabatta was wonderfully crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, how good breads should be and the dressing used went so well with the smoked salmon and the arugula with the crunch from the baby asparagus OH BOY OH BOY I WANT IT NOW TOOOOO :O But I felt the balsamic vinaigrette dressing for the side salad was a wee bit too sharp for my liking :/ But thats not the main point :D

After work, it was off to meet the BFF and Ballz again and FANGSSS for some Despicable Me 2!! My favourite Animated Film(s)!!!

Smoothie King for dinner AGAIN. Yes I am not lying when I say I only dine at the same few places! Most of the time, that is. I am sure I would still occasionally dine at other spots but more or less always these few spots (Smoothie King, Ichiban Boshi & Robert Timms). 

So far I've tried the Teriyaki Chicken, Spicy Chicken and Honey Mustard Chicken wraps. To me it doesn't really make a difference which wrap I choose, they all taste super yummy to me! And both Hot&Grill and the classic wraps all appeal to me sooooo, let me know what you think! Smoothies wise, ANGEL FOOD ALWAYS. 

Despicable Me 2 was SO FUNNY, I REALLY ENJOYED IT. I could be biased but SPOILER ALERT, NEARER TO THE END ONE OF THE SCENE WAS SO FUNNY I WAS DYING FROM STITCHES AND HAD TEARS IN MA EYES FROM LAUGHING SO HARD :D

Friday, random bruise spotted. I have no effing idea how that came about. /shrugs, I. THINK. MY. BODY. IS. GIVING. UP. ON. ME. Shaking hands, random bruises, and crackling joints. Whats next seriously.

Visited M for abit after work for a chat and some smokes. (: Thanks so much girl for your two cents; I shall hope for nothing. (:

Met my folks after for dinner AND YES SALMON AGAIN. S'been so long since I went to Ikea. I really love going to Ikea. I love home furnishing so Ikea has always been one of those places that I love to go and envision how my future home would look like/how my ideal room would look like (: 

Saturday; plan was to catch the NDP preview with FANGSSSS :D Went down to NP to wait for her to end training and OMO! NP sports complex has changed sooo much! It loooks really nice now O.O Made me really miss training with my teammies :(

Linner at Shokudo  because I wanted to eat grilled salmon again HAHAHAHAH my obsession with salmon has got to stop. -.- 

NDP previewwwwwwwwww HHAHAHAHAHAHHHAA! I was genuinely excited for this because I haven't participated in NDP (previews included) since P5. IKR. SO MOUNTAIN TORTOISE. But I wanted to experience first hand again how it felt to be in the midst of all the national pride :D Won't lie to you, when I walked in and saw a sea of people donning the National Day red cap, wanted to cry from the sheer pride of being part of this; part of Singapore. I am really proud to be a Singaporean okay, so please, not being melodramatic again.

All the marching here and there; I used to march too! In secondary school as part of the Girl Guides, but the most prestigious event that I've even taken part in as a Guider was SYF. #closeenough

Thats Fangsss, so patriotic, even went to the extent of wearing a red and white stripe shirt; I was like WHY DIDN'T I GET THE MEMO! 

Singing the National Anthem; so. damn. proud. But honestly I feel there's alot more to be done to foster national pride in our current and future generation. Seeing what my fellow generation is posting on social media sometimes really worries me. :/

In the midst of all this, this old man here IS SO CUTE OKAY. Throughout the whole preview, he was waving the mini flag like ALMOST ALL THE TIME. And not just mini waving but arms stretched out kind of waving. Sooooo patriotic :') And when night fell...

Out came the light saber thingy and he tied the mini flag to the tip and waved like so. SOOOO CUTE OMG :') GMH I tell youuuu~

So anyways, I really appreciate the effort of the participants of the show, and my bro Armstrong for getting my the tickets but there are certain segments of the show that I just don't quite get. Like how certain performances were relevant to Singapore and national pride? /shrugs Honestly, nearer to the end of the show I was feeling abit confused and bored because of it.

The usual highlight of every NDP, fireworks.

I remember asking Fangs, "we are sooo shallow, we can derive so much entertainment from watching such expensive displays of light."

Chilled afterwards at Sauce with Fangs over some Asahi; talked about Life and Love SIGHHHHHHHHHH.

/judgingface; maybe there are some/alot of girls out there who can do such stuff but not me. So STAY AWAY.

& because I am weird like that, I like lying on the floor, sans cushions and watch cable. Was rewatching Sleepy Hollow (1999). I heart ANY Tim Burton films. I like dark films :)

AND LUCKY ME CAN HAZ LADUREE AGAINNNNN~~ YAYY TO NEW BOX! Managed to try Marie Antoinette this time and if you're a tea lover, I think you'll like that flavour :D

Plan on Sunday was to head to Newton with le BFF to stalk Gordon Ramsay but at 3ish; we heard news that the Q number was already at 1020 so we thought FCK IT LA GO DOWN FO FCK. So town it was. And I was dressed so shabbily for town :'( But what matters is the company right? :D

Wanted to dinner at Cine's Nihon Mura and spotted the Asia Room Pop Up Hotel; we actually queued to try out for the lucky draw but NO SURPRISE, we both bad luck queens walked away with nothing but 15 minutes of our lives gone.

Dessert after at Paris Baguette! :D Still super loving the Pudding despite the exorbitant price tag for so little pudding! Tried the crepe cake and while I think it was pretty good, I think I would probably just stick to the pudding next time. :D
